Have come here a few times and ordered the Love boat. I find that this is the most cost effective meal to order for 2 people. I love it and the sushi seems to be consistently good quality. I always enjoy this place. The only thing that is annoying is that parking next door to this place advertises 2 hour free parking with validation but Wokcano only validates for 1 hour.
Definitely fell in love with there truffle salmon roll and late party roll. The truffle roll was so smooth going into my mouth and you can taste the truffle as for the late party roll the baked scallops and crab was delicious!!! The calamari had a good savory mix to it, it had green onions some garlic and jalapeños on it. The garlic pork belly was very savory but I wished the meat part was easy to chew, it was a bit dry and dry to chew.
It's been at least 6 years since I've been to downtown Long Beach and my how things have changed. It's is reminiscent of downtown San Diego's Gaslamp District. I've been to three Wokcano restaurants and I've never seen one a nice as this. Service was impeccable. The ambiance screamed kiss me. Sushi was fresh. The food was delicious made w love. The drinks were perfect. This is definitely a place to lounge and dine. If it weren't for work the next day I'd still be lounging up at the restaurant right now. Big shots out to Amanda and Krista, you guys are dope AF. See y'all soon.
One of the few places with a weekend happy hour on saturday from 4-7. tried a yellowtail hand roll, spicy tuna roll and coconut shrimp. Sushi is basic the sangria was good garnished with fresh fruit. The server was friendly and fast touching the table multiple times and plenty of tvs to catch a game. IG @backpacking_rob
